Denise arrived at yoga in her late fifties, led by one of her best teachers, her daughter Elizabeth.  She completed the 200-hour teacher training, in the Kripalu Tradition, in January 2009 and the Anusara Immersion 1 in November 2009.  Denise's evolving alighnment based teaching style links breath with movement with a heart-centered focus.  Her goal is to empower her students to draw on their inner strength to greet life with a smile, on and off the mat.  Her teaching has been influenced by both nationally recognized, and local teachers.  A professional seamstress, Denise lives in Jamestown with her two daughters.
